How to screenshot on chromebook

Taking screenshot is essential for your day to day work.  Here you will find how you can take screenshots in chromebook & where you can find the stored screenshots.

There are two easy ways to take screenshots:

Method 1.  Ctrl  +  Switch window key

Step 1.  Hold the Ctrl & switch window key button as shown in the following image.

Step 2. Once you press both the keys , notification will appear in the bottom right corner. You can click on the notification & it will take you to the download folder.

Step 3. Done !!  You can share the screenshot or do the manipulation as you want.

 

Method 2.  Ctrl  + Shift +  Switch window key 

 Step 1. Press & hold Ctrl + Shift + Swith window key as shown in below image.

 Step 2.  Your screen will dim & you can actually select the area on you screen of which you want to take screenshot. 

Step 3. Drag the cursor forming a square of the area for which you want to take screenshot

Step 4. Release the mouse or your fingers on touchpad. This will capture the selected area & you will see the notification in the right bottom corner of your screen. You can click on it & directly go the download folder.

Location of screenshots -  You will find all your screenshots under the downloads folder by default!!
