What is blog?

In 1997 the term weblog was introduced and from there on blog is derived out of it. "Blog" as name suggest a log of all your thoughts that you want to put onto internet. Earlier people used to put their thoughts into internet but with the involving technologies the blog has matured to broader term.

Blog is powerful way to communicate your view/ thoughts with wider audience. They can share their views too on your article with comment features. 

How does Blog differ from website?

The key difference between Website and Blog is that the website content is rarely updated where as in blog the more frequent update occurs. Websites rarely allows both way interaction like commenting section but blog does allow both way interactions. This give the added advantage for blogger to connect with their audience.

How to write a blog?

Writing a blog is very simple. Anyone with very less or no knowledge of coding can write a blog like a pro. All you need is platform where you can post your articles. There are two ways you can start writing blog 

  1. Free blog
  2. Paid blog  
There are free blog options available like Blogger and WordPress. These sites will provide you free platform to post your blog but yes under their subdomain. If you want to have full control over your blog you should think of buying domain & hosting it onto the platform like WordPress. 

So lets talk about free options. To write a free blog all you need is account either in Blogger or in WordPress. I preferred the Blogger as this is the product of Google & easy to use. And to start blogging in blogger all you need is your google account! 
 
Once you log in into your blogger account, you can start blogging straight away. All you need is good name for your blog, a theme that suits your topic and there you go. You can write as many post as you want, and once you publish it the blog will be available on internet & its all FREE!!
